Palaeoxys primigenius

Taxonomy
Trioxys primigenius was named by Quilis Pérez (1940). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Alsace potash field, Anna pit (Quievreux collection), which is in a Rupelian lacustrine - large mudstone/evaporite in France.

It was recombined as Palaeoxys primigenius by Ortega-Blanco et al. (2009).
