Taxonomy
Misolia was named by von Seidlitz (1914) [Sepkoski's age data: Tr Nori Sepkoski's reference number: 1066]. It is not extant. Its type is Misolia misolica. It is the type genus of Misoliinae.

It was assigned to Brachiopoda by von Seidlitz (1914); to Spiriferida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Misoliinae by Williams et al. (2002).
