Taxonomy
Callitomaria tepuelensis was named by Sabattini and Noirat (1969). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is La Carlota, which is in a Bashkirian/Moscovian marine sandstone/conglomerate in the Mojon de Hierro Formation of Argentina.
