Grallator minimus
Taxonomy
Prototrisauropus minimus was named by Ellenberger (1970). It is considered to be a form taxon. It is a trace fossil. Its type locality is Seaka-Falatsa tracksite (zone A/3), which is in a Norian terrestrial sandstone in the Elliot Formation of Lesotho. It is the type species of Prototrisauropodiscus.
It was recombined as Grallator minimus by Olsen and Galton (1984); it was recombined as Prototrisauropodiscus minimus by Ellenberger (1972) and Klein and Lucas (2021).

| P. Ellenberger 1972 | Cette espèce de taille très petite avec ses pieds bien marqués et son petit talon oblong enfoncé et isolé correspond à un animal très particulier déjà décrit pour le genre. Ajoutons ici les mensurations propres à l'espèce.
- PES: Longueur du pied, 67 mm (de II, 30 mm; de III, 35 mm; de IV, avec le "talon", 44 mm; de V, ? mm; projection de III en avant du bout des doigts latéraux, 22 mm). Largeur du pied entre l'extrémité des doigts latéraux, 38 mm. Divarication totale Il-IV, 42° (II-III, 22°; III-IV, 20°). Les coussinets de phalanges sont assez épais et sans discontinuité apparente. L'arrière du pied est typique. On peut comparer avec Moyenisauropezus (N° 67) du Stormberg superieur, - y compris pour l'orientation de l'axe du pied vers l'intérieur à la marche qui atteint un angle de 10° à 15° (varus), - MANUS: La main est inconnue, l'animal paraissant strictement bipède. - PISTE: Enjambée, 0,32 m à 0,42 m (Pas = 0,16 m à 0,21 m), Ped, angulatio: 14° à 20°. Ecartement, 48 mm: la démarche, malgré le dandinement (tracé sinueux) est très vive, et on assiste à un départ on pourrait dire précipité, chaque pas étant plus grand que le précédent. |
