Beishanodon youngi
Taxonomy
Beishanodon youngi was named by Gao et al. (2010). Its type specimen is PKUP V3007, a partial skull (incomplete skull with well-preserved snout and left temporal region, but lacking the right zygomatic arch and much of the occiput), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Beishan Hills, Quarry 3, Subei County, which is in an Olenekian lacustrine shale in the Hongyanjing Formation of China. It is the type species of Beishanodon.
