Taxonomy
Forcipomyia (Forcipomyia) unculiformis was named by Szadziewski (1993). Its type specimen is MfN MB.I-8-149, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Bitterfeld amber (MfN collection), which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in Germany.
