Taxonomy
Discocoris dominicanus was named by Slater and Baranowski (2000). It is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Dominican amber, Yanigua, El Valle region (Brodzinsky collection), which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian terrestrial amber in the Yanigua Formation of the Dominican Republic.
