Taxonomy
Nanlingilambda datangensis was named by Huang and Zheng (2003). Its type specimen is IVPP V 13505, a mandible (Right lower jaw), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Nearby Datang Town (lower section), which is in a Paleocene terrestrial horizon in the Nongshan Formation of China.
