Taxonomy
Hamaraxonia africana was named by Berkowski and Weyer (2012). It is not extant. Its type locality is Hollard Mound slope, Hamar Laghdad, which is in an Eifelian slope limestone in Morocco. It is the type species of Hamaraxonia.
