Taxonomy
Dimorphoconcha globosa was named by Wasmer and Hautmann (2012). Its type specimen is PIMUZ 28669, a valve (left valve), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Nammal Gorge NAM-B7, Salt Range, which is in a Spathian carbonate limestone in the Upper Ceratite Limestone Formation of Pakistan. It is the type species of Dimorphoconcha.
