Megadesmus (Cleobis) recta
Taxonomy
Cleobis recta was named by Dana (1847). Its type specimen is USNM 3651 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Wollongong Point, Illawarra (USNM coll), which is in a Wordian coastal siliciclastic in the Gerringong Formation of Australia.
It was recombined as Maeonia recta by Dana (1849) and Laseron (1910); it was recombined as Notomya recta by Etheridge (1880); it was recombined as Megadesmus (Cleobis) recta by Waterhouse (1988).
