Taxonomy
Artinskia separata was named by Leonova (1992). Its type specimen is PIN 4240/66 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Charymdara River, sample 54, which is in a Sakmarian marine horizon in the Khoridzhskaya Formation of Tajikistan.
