Saurichthys wimani
Taxonomy
Belonorhynchus wimani was named by Woodward (1912). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Sassen Bay, between De Geer Valley and Flower Valley (fish horizon), which is in a Smithian marine siliciclastic in Svalbard and Jan Mayen.
It was recombined as Saurichthys (Lepidosaurichthys) wimani by Tintori (2013); it was recombined as Saurichthys wimani by Stensiö (1925) and Kogan and Romano (2016).
