Taxonomy
Polyptycha becksioides was named by Defretin-Lefranc (1960). It is not extant. Its type locality is Lezennes, Lille, which is in a Coniacian offshore chalk in France.

It was recombined as Oncolpia (Polyptycha) becksioides by Finks et al. (2004).
