Taxonomy
Geochen rhuax was named by Wetmore (1943). Its type specimen is USNM 16740, a limb element (right tibiotarsus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Pahala, which is in a Holocene terrestrial ash in the Pahala Formation of Hawaii.
