Formicium berryi
Taxonomy
Eoponera berryi was named by Carpenter (1929). Its type specimen is USNM 80825, a forewing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Puryear, Henry County, which is in a Bartonian pond claystone in the Cockfield Formation of Tennessee.
It was recombined as Formicium berryi by Lutz (1986), Archibald et al. (2011) and Bolton (2012).
