Taxonomy
Paraduplophyllum (Paraduplophyllum) oppositum was named by Fedorowski (1987). Its type specimen is USNM 197176 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USNM702d, Hill 5725, Glass Mountains, which is in a Kungurian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Hess Formation of Texas.
