Taxonomy
Lasmophyllum giganteum was named by Kropatcheva (1989). Its type specimen is TsNIGR 9/12539 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Dzhagadzur, Bed 29, Transcaucasia, which is in a Wordian carbonate limestone in the Arpa Formation of Armenia.
