P. Jung 1971 | Of medium size, inequilateral, moderately inflated. Concentric sculpture consists of rounded ridges of varying width. Interspaces wider than concentrics. Radial sculpture poorly developed, usually restricted to posterior portion of shell. On the central part of the shell the radial striae are visible only in the interspaces. Beaks situated slightly anteriorly. Ligamental pit triangular. Hinge interrupted centrally, with five teeth on both sides. Anterior muscle scar situated just below anterior end of hinge. Posterior muscle scar about twice as large as anterior one. Inner margin finely fluted ventrally and posterio-ventrally. |
