Taxonomy
Polidevcia arctura was named by Yancey (1978). Its type specimen is USNM 245175, a shell (Articulated shell), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is CHS 1J-6, Buck Mountain Section, which is in an Artinskian marine horizon in the Riepetown Formation of Nevada.
