Heleosaurus scholtzi
Taxonomy
Heleosaurus scholtzi was named by Broom (1907). Its type specimen is SAM-PK-1070, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Victoria West District (?Abrahamskraal Formation), which is in a Capitanian terrestrial sandstone in the Abrahamskraal Formation of South Africa. It is the type species of Heleosaurus.
