Pseudoxybeloceras (Pseudoxybeloceras) was named by Wright and Matsumoto (1938). Its type is Hamites quadrinodosus.

It was assigned to Pseudoxybeloceras by Kennedy (1993), Kennedy (1995) and Kennedy et al. (2007).
