Desmoceras (Pseudouhligella) calabarense was named by Reyment (1955) [DISTRIBUTION: Cenomanian; Nigeria.]. Its type specimen is BMNH U.3535, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 3 miles north of Odukpani, lower horizon (Reyment collection), which is in a Cenomanian marine horizon in the Odukpani Formation of Nigeria.
