Taxonomy
Barysmilia iberica was named by Baron-Szabo (1998). It is not extant. Its type locality is Pobla de Segur, Tremp Area, Corals of Puimanyons Olistostrome, Cataluna, which is in a Campanian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Vallcarga Formation of Spain.
