Jeholornis prima
Taxonomy
Jeholornis prima was named by Zhou and Zhang (2002). Its type specimen is IVPP V13274, a skeleton (nearly completely articulated skeleton), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Dapingfang, which is in an Aptian lacustrine mudstone in the Jiufotang Formation of China.
