Peonza torquata
Taxonomy
Peonza torquata was named by Olivera (1994) [DISTRIBUTION: Oligocene-Miocene; Chile, Argentina.]. Its type specimen is CPBA 14374a, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cape Tres Puntas (CPBA Collection), which is in a Chattian shoreface sandstone in the San Julian Formation of Argentina. It is the type species of Peonza.
