Tapes (Callistotapes) pseudoliratus was named by Vredenburg (1928) [DISTRIBUTION: Late Miocene-Early Pliocene; Pakistan.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Callista (Callista) pseudoliratus by Tiwari and Kachhara (2003).
