Fasciculiconcha knighti was named by Newell (1938) [Aviculopecten fasciculatus Keyes 1894 p. 113 pl. 42 f. 7, not Hall 1883]. Its type specimen is KUMIP 372.1, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil.
