Symmetrolestes parvus
Taxonomy
Symmetrolestes parvus was named by Tsubamoto and Rougier (2004) [Symmetrolestes parvus Tsubamoto and Rougier (in Tsubamoto et al., 2004)]. Its type specimen is NSM PV 20562, a mandible, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Kitadani (north of Dinosaur Quarry), which is in an Aptian fluvial horizon in the Kitadani Formation of Japan. It is the type species of Symmetrolestes.
