Lucina semperiana was named by Issel (1869) [DISTRIBUTION: Pliocene-Recent; Indo-Pacific.]. It is extant.

It was recombined as Cardiolucina semperiana by Dekker and Orlin (2000).

Synonyms
  • Lucina pisum was named by Reeve (1850) [DISTRIBUTION: Pliocene-Recent; Indo-Pacific.]. It is extant.

    It was replaced with Lucina semperiana by Issel (1869); it was recombined as Lucina (Pleurolucina) pisum by Hashimoto (1982).
