Trionyx eloisae
Taxonomy
Amyda eloisae was named by Gilmore (1919). Its type specimen is USNM 8540, a carapace, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is San Juan Basin (non-specific), which is in a Puercan terrestrial horizon in the Nacimiento Formation of New Mexico.
It was recombined as Rafetus (Axestemys) eloisae by Chkhikvadze (2000); it was recombined as Trionyx eloisae by Vitek and Joyce (2015).
