Taxonomy
Metanchilophus chaubeti was named by Remy (2012). Its type specimen is FMO RbS-507, a maxilla (left maxilla with P1/-M3/), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Robiac-Sud, which is in a Bartonian terrestrial horizon in France.
