Taxonomy
Eotmantsoius perseverans was named by Simons et al. (1991). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is DT1-127, a set of teeth (right M1 or 2), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Dur At-Talah, DT-Loc. 1, which is in an Eocene/Eocene marine siltstone/sandstone in Libya.
