Falsoebala urdatica was named by Grundel et al. (2007). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bore Marnitz 1/59, depth 674.9-685.0 m, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, which is in a Toarcian offshore siliciclastic in Germany.
