Taxonomy
Petalorhynchus indicus was named by Waagen (1879). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Chidru, Upper Productus-limestone, Salt Range, which is in a Changhsingian shallow subtidal limestone in the Chhidru Formation of Pakistan.
