Taxonomy
Streptochetus was named by Cossmann (1901) [Sepkoski's age data: T Eo Sepkoski's reference number: 1119].

It was assigned to Fasciolariidae by Turner (1938); to Neogastropoda by Sepkoski (2002); and to Fusininae by MacNeil (1960), Squires (1987), Stilwell and Zinsmeister (1992) and Snyder (2003).
