Type specimen: AMNH 1025, a partial shell (costals, hypoplastron, and xiphiplastron). Its type locality is Chaco Cañon neighborhood, which is in a Puercan/Torrejonian terrestrial horizon in the Nacimiento Formation of New Mexico.

Distribution: found only at Chaco Cañon neighborhood
