Type specimen: UCMP 130000, a partial skeleton (nearly complete carapace and plastron, partial scapula, coracoid and pelvis). Its type locality is UCMP V84153, which is in a Puercan terrestrial horizon in the Fort Union Formation of Montana.
Ecology: aquatic omnivore

• Paleocene of United States (5: Montana collections)
• Cretaceous of United States (8: Montana, South Dakota, Wyoming)
Total: 13 collections each including a single occurrence
