Type specimens:

  • Periclaraia circularis: H1234, a valve (Right valve)
  • Periclaraia chaoxianensis: H1241, a valve (Right valve). Its type locality is Majiashan Section Bed 9, Chaoxian County, which is in a Spathian carbonate limestone in the Qinglong Formation of China.
  • Periclaraia reticulata: H1242, a valve (Right valve). Its type locality is Majiashan Section Bed 7, Chaoxian County, which is in a Spathian carbonate limestone in the Qinglong Formation of China.

Ecology: facultatively mobile low-level epifaunal suspension feeder
