When: Early/Lower Cenomanian (99.6 - 93.5 Ma)

• Ostracod and foraminifer assemblages from the upper part of subunit A1 (A1c) suggest an early Cenomanian age only (Peyrot et al. 2019)

• bed-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: estuary or bay; lithified sandstone

• Section A1 is of brackish to coastal marine origin. A1c has cross beddings that correspond to "a succession of channels".
• "the third horizon (A1c) consists in a hard and coarse sandstone with metric cross beddings... This horizon locally includes lignite and amber" - Neraudeau et al (2008)
