Taxonomy
Libys callolepis was named by Ferrante et al. (2022). Its type specimen is NMBE 5034072/3, a skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Les Pueys, Teysachaux, which is in a Falciferum marine lime mudstone in the Staldengraben Formation of Switzerland.
