Taxonomy
Tortodus dodoensis was named by Gouwy et al. (2020). It is extant. Its type locality is Dodo Canyon West outcrop, Mackenzie Mountains , which is in a Givetian carbonate limestone in the Hare Indian Formation of Canada.
