Biplica obliqua
Taxonomy
Cinulia obliqua was named by Gabb (1864). Its type specimen is ANSP 4263, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is "Chico beds" - Tuscan Springs, Tehama, which is in a Coniacian coastal siliciclastic in California.
It was recombined as Oligoptycha obliqua by Stewart (1927), Hoots (1931), Taff et al. (1940) and Popenoe (1942); it was recombined as Biplica obliqua by Popenoe (1957).
