Palynological and palynofacies assemblage of the Subathu Formation suggest Ypresian–Lutetian age (Panwar et al. 2021) and also had a suggested depositional age range of depositional age range of ∼44–50 Ma based on U-Pb detrital zircon analysis (Colleps et al. 2020)
