• Thanetian age is based on presence of forams Planorotalites compressa, Subbotina velasconensis, Subbotina triloculinoides and Morozovella acuta as well as the algae Distichoplax biserialis

Environment/lithology: lagoonal or restricted shallow subtidal; brown, gray, argillaceous grainstone

• Lagoonal, close to organic reef
• Foraminiferal-peloidal grainstone, microfacies consists of common peloids and algal fragments and foraminifers, echinoderm and bivalve shell fragments.
