Where: Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany (50.5° N, 7.5° E: paleocoordinates 50.5° N, 7.3° E)

When: Middle Pleistocene (0.8 - 0.1 Ma)

• Level H is towards the top of the sequence (site goes level Jb). Middle-Late Middle Pleistocene, Arvicola cantianus, Holsteinian, roughly 300,000BP.

Environment/lithology: loess

• Loess containing several other horizons including a pumice layer with icewedges and a basalt tuff.

Size classes: macrofossils, mesofossils

Collection methods: all fauna from below the 'Kaerlicher Brockentuff'. Sparse mollusc fauna, indicative full interglacial, rather humid conditions with oak forest.
