Where: Switzerland (47.2° N, 7.3° E: paleocoordinates 38.2° N, 16.3° E)

• coordinate based on nearby landmark

• small collection-level geographic resolution

When: Röschenz Member (Vellerat Formation), Middle Oxfordian to Middle Oxfordian (161.2 - 155.7 Ma)

• Röschenz Beds formerly known as the Natica Beds (Gygi, 1995)

•the deposits from which the flora was collected are situated in a facies transition from the Günsberg to Röschenz Beds.

• bed-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: coastal; claystone and marl

• Detrital quartz grains and mud cracks present.

•Deposits are entirely marine with mainly oolites and pellets in the lower half of the section and marly, lagoonal limestones, containing red oncolites and bioclasts (mainly large gastropods) in the upper half). The material was collected from this facies transition.

Size classes: macrofossils, microfossils

Preservation: mold/impression, adpression, original carbon, original sporopollenin, original cellulose

Collection methods: bulk, chemical, mechanical, peel or thin section, sieve,

• Specimens stored in the Natur Museum Solothurn, the sedimentological samples are stored at the Geological Institute of the University of Basel.
