Also known as Jovellania limestone succession. - not to confuse with "Jovellania limestone" of Bultynck and Walliser (2000)

When: Pedavis pesavis conodont zone, Lochkovian (419.2 - 410.8 Ma)

• Approximately 40 m above Scyphocrinites limestone. The bed represents the pesavis Bioevent.

Environment/lithology: offshore shelf; lithified, black, argillaceous, silty sandstone

• thickness 0.3 m, black bituminous silt-, to sandstone. Toward the top of the bed the arenitic content decreases markedly and the bed appears a a finely laminated, dark brownish, bituminous sandy shale

Size class: macrofossils

Preservation: recrystallized, original aragonite, replaced with calcite
