Graua Limestone: Bed 4 (Cretaceous of Ethiopia)

Where: Ethiopia (9.1° N, 41.8° E: paleocoordinates 15.2° S, 28.5° E)

• coordinate based on nearby landmark

When: Graua Member (Amba Aradam Formation), Early/Lower Aptian (125.5 - 122.5 Ma)

• bed-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: shallow subtidal; lithified, burrowed, peloidal, silty wackestone

• 5 m, massive (amalgamated) nodular limestone, strongly burrowed, largly constituted of a 'grit' of orbitolinid foraminifers and mollusc fragments

•Texturally, the rock is a pelletal wackestone with diffuse quartz silt and some coprolites

Size classes: macrofossils, microfossils
