Stratigraphy comments: STRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONS: From the Craie d'Obourg, which unconformably overlies the Craie de Triviéres (Early Campanian), and is gradationally overlain by the Craie de Nouvelles (Late Campanian). AGE: early Late Campanian, on the basis of ammonite and belemnite biostratigraphy. STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: Collection is a composite of the entire formation.

Lithology description: SPECIFIC LITHOLOGY: Pure, massive, fine-grained, white chalk without flint layers. A prominent hardground is present at its base. LITHIFICATION: Lithified on the basis of facies description.
